General teaching materials so far
In Japan, as general piano teaching materials, the following sequence was often used: ``Beyer'' → ``Burgmuller'' → ``Sonatine'' → ``Sonata.''
These materials are designed to allow you to practice various finger usages and playing techniques in an orderly manner.
However, this trend now seems to be disappearing.
The reason is simple.
It's because it's not interesting
I feel the same way about this, and I don't remember ever finding the piano interesting at Beyer.
To put it a little extreme, practicing using Beyer is just "practice swings" in baseball terms.
If you can't hit the ball and just practice swinging, you'll lose motivation because it doesn't match your image .
If you don't do it with someone, have a strong will and clear goals, or pay to take lessons, it won't last long.
So what should I prepare?
It's not music if you don't enjoy it.
First of all, it is important to love the piano.
I think the secret to self-teaching is to slowly practice the simple songs you know.
I think the first song you start with can be JPOP, Western music, or of course classical music.
There are a lot of free sheet music available online.
Some band scores also include guitar and bass.
If you only have a band score, try playing only the vocal part with your right or left hand first.
Next time I will list some examples.
