"My Neighbor Totoro" is a Ghibli movie that most people have seen.
It is a masterpiece that always ranks high in the number of broadcasts even on Friday Road Show.
I've been watching it regularly ever since I saw it when I was little, and sometimes I find myself wanting to watch it.
In particular, the scene towards the end where Satsuki meets Totoro while searching for Mei is both reassuring and exciting.
The story has a clear beginning, development, development, and conclusion, and is a work that will leave everyone, young and old, feeling relieved.
This time, we will introduce some of the sheet music for songs that appear in Totoro's works that are available for free.

Stroll
First up is "Sanpo", the opening theme for Totoro.
Speaking of Totoro, most people probably come to this song along with ``My Neighbor Totoro,'' which follows Mako.
It is no exaggeration to say that it is a national song, as it is now treated as a nursery rhyme and is used as a song for childcare worker exams.
Sheet music ① (Introductory version with do-re-mi)
First of all, here's an introductory difficulty sheet music with do-re-mi that I made myself.
It's a series of triplets, but I think you can play it smoothly if you play the original song in your head.
Some slightly difficult intros and interludes have been omitted.
Sheet music ② (beginner)
Next, we'll increase the difficulty a little and add an intro to the sheet music for beginners.
Some parts of the song are omitted.
Sheet music ③ (intermediate)
Next is the sheet music of intermediate difficulty for those who can play the piano to some extent.
The B melody has a slightly stronger arrangement.
Some parts have been omitted.
Sheet music ④ (with do-re-mi, beginner level)
This is a slightly older self-made sheet music with do-re-mi created in 2021.
I arranged it in C major, avoiding the use of black keys as much as possible. The melody has a rather wide range, so it may be a little difficult for the right hand. The left hand has a very simple finish.
Some slightly difficult intros and interludes have been omitted.
Please note that the melody does not use triplets.
Sheet music ⑤ (beginner)
This is also a slightly older self-made sheet music of beginner difficulty level .
Since it ends with the first verse, the interlude and the second and subsequent editions are omitted.
If you are able to make adjustments, please do so.

My Neighbor Totoro
This is also the famous "My Neighbor Totoro" (same name as the work).
It is used as the ending song in the work.
Personally, I like this better than ``Walk'' because it conveys the atmosphere of ``My Neighbor Totoro.''
Even if you look at various musical scores, many of them are made with a higher level of difficulty.
I think this is probably because the original song is a little more complicated than "Sanpo."
Sheet music ① (Introductory version with do-re-mi)
This is an introductory level sheet music with self-made do-re-mi.
I try not to play the black keys as much as possible in C major. Also, the left hand has been reduced to Beyer difficulty so that it can be played with a fixed hand position.
On the other hand, the right hand for the melody part has a slightly wider range, so you need to be careful how you use your fingers.
You may be confused by the difference between the rhythms of your right and left hands, but make sure to use a metronome to learn your sense of rhythm.

Sheet music ② (intermediate)
This is a self-made sheet music of intermediate difficulty level.
Recommended for those who can play the piano to some extent. Since the key is transposed to C major, it may feel a little strange if you play it while playing the original song in your head.
path through the wind
The third most famous song in My Neighbor Totoro is ``Kaze no Toru Michi.''
Actually, it seems that this song was not created by composer Joe Hisaishi for the ``My Neighbor Totoro'' movie.
He created it but didn't release it, and when he offered the music for "My Neighbor Totoro," he said, "This is it."
In fact, this song fits perfectly with Totoro, as it has a dreamlike atmosphere and yet somehow feels warm.
Sheet music ① (Introductory version with do-re-mi)
First is a simple sheet music with do-re-mi.
I changed the key to (A minor) to avoid using the black keys as much as possible.
The difficulty level is beginner.
Sheet music ② (beginner)
Next is the music score that is a little more difficult for the left hand.
I have also added a prelude.
The difficulty level is beginner.
Sheet music ③ (intermediate)
Finally, this sheet music is for those who can play the piano to some extent.
The piano arrangement is made to match the key of the original song and recreate the atmosphere as much as possible.
The difficulty level is intermediate.
Village of May
Next is Satsuki Village.
This is the BGM that plays during scenes where Mei and Satsuki go to the fields with their grandmother and eat chilled cucumbers in the river.
This song has a high level of difficulty as a piano score.
Sheet music ① (Introductory version with do-re-mi)
First is a simple sheet music with do-re-mi.

Sheet music ② (beginner)

The piano arrangement is made to match the key of the original song and recreate the atmosphere as much as possible.

cat bus
"Neko Bus" is the only famous song in My Neighbor Totoro that has a sense of speed.
This song is a little difficult, so the overall difficulty level is high.
