The Ghibli film ``The Wind Rises'' directed by Hayao Miyazaki was released in 2013.
This work is based on Jiro Horikoshi, who designed the Zero Fighter, and is set during the Great Kanto Earthquake and World War II.
I saw most of the Ghibli films when I was young, but by the time this film was made I was already an adult.
But I'm glad I was able to see it as an adult. This is because, personally, I felt that this work was very much aimed at adults, as it incorporates the emotional changes of the characters and the historical background that children would not be able to understand.
Still, it's very moving and I like it so much that it's in the top three of all Ghibli films. I feel like if I had watched it as a child, I would have finished it without really understanding it.
The story is a bit heavy, so I don't think I'll want to watch it over and over again like I did with Totoro, but it still left a strong impression on me.
This time, I will introduce the piano score of the song that appears in "The Wind Rises".
(At the moment, only ``Airplane Cloud'' is available.)

Contrail
"Hikoukigumo" by Yumi Arai (Yumi Matsutoya) is used as the ending theme in the film.
Although this song was originally released a long time ago, it matches the content of the movie very well. (Maybe it's a trick)
*Please note that the sheet music introduced below is only No. 1.
Sheet music ① (Introductory version with do-re-mi)
First is a simple sheet music with do-re-mi.
The key is transposed to C major so that the black key is not used.
However, due to the transposition, the atmosphere of the original song is slightly lost.
We recommend that you check the linked performance video before playing.
If you use the melody line in your right hand, you can also play with other instruments such as the recorder or keyboard harmonica.
The difficulty level is beginner.
Sheet music ② (beginner)
Next, I changed the key back to the original and made the score a little more difficult.
The difficulty level is beginner.
Sheet music ③ (intermediate)
Finally, this sheet music is for those who can play the piano to some extent.
I'm making it a little closer to healing music.
The difficulty level is intermediate.
*Currently, there is only one song "The Wind Rises", but if you have any requests, please feel free to leave a comment.
