Under the Sea” (English name: Under the Sea) was the theme song for “The Little Mermaid,” released in Japan in 1991.
The Little Mermaid” is a Disney production based on Andersen’s fairy tale “The Little Mermaid.
There was also a TV series in Japan and recently a musical by the Shiki Theater Company. I actually went to see the musical “The Little Mermaid” and it was wonderful. The play itself was great, of course, but the singing voices and music of the actors were very impressive. If there is a performance near your home, please go and see it.
Even if you have never been to a musical or seen Disney’s The Little Mermaid, you will definitely enjoy it.
Under the Sea,” which was used as the theme song in The Little Mermaid, is a very famous song that is sometimes used in parades at Disneyland and DisneySea.
The film’s song was also selected for an Academy Award for Best Song.
We still often see videos of many artists covering the song or playing it on the piano.

Only the first number, but it is a simple arrangement in the key of C major.
However, the tempo of the original song is very fast, so this song is quite difficult even if the score looks easy. Beginners should try to play it after slowing down the tempo.
The right hand melody line could be used to play it on a recorder, for example.
